Mobile Clinic

Introduction

After the 2021 earthquake, we started periodically holding mobile medical clinics for the community. These clinics are set up in strategic locations and offer medical consultation, medicine, and lab tests free of charge. Although we often hold these clinics after the frequent natural disasters in Haiti, i.e., earthquakes and hurricanes, we also conduct clinics during peaceful times for routine medical needs. These clinics are part of the holistic approach of our ministry to serve physical and spiritual needs.

Mission

In this ministry, our mission has five aspects or goals: (1) serve spiritual and physical needs, (2) support vulnerable families, (3) improve community health, (4) provide medical education and hope, and (5) ultimately to reach the lost with the Gospel.

Healthcare Challenges

In order to understand the need for these mobile clinics, it is important to recognize the particular healthcare challenges that the Haitian people face. For the majority of the population, not only is it a long distance to the hospital, but also there is no transportation to get there. Additionally, most people cannot afford even basic medical costs. Finally, there is also a shortage of qualified medical services throughout the country.

Health Consequences

Due to the particular healthcare challenges that Haitians face, there are a number of consequences that follow. Often preventable illnesses that are extinct in the West go untreated and chronic illnesses go undiagnosed. Children suffer due to lack of prenatal care for mothers, and they face unnecessary infections and malnutrition.

Our Solution

In order to meet these challenges and prevent these consequences, we go to where needy people are located and provide them with free medical consultations, basic health screenings, medicine, health education, and food. Some of the common services we provide include blood pressure & diabetes screening and maternal health support.

Mobile Clinic Team

In order to provide this type of medical care, our mobile clinic team typically consists of either a doctor or nurse practitioner, a pharmacy assistant, and various volunteers and community health workers.

Historic Results

Historically, our mobile clinics have not only been in high demand, but they have also been very successful. For example, and in 2026, in one week alone, 2,173 patients were treated. Additionally, and over the years hundreds of children have received medical care, and numerous families have received essential medicines. At these clinics, many patients received medical treatment for the first time in their entire lives.

Cost of One Mobile Clinic

By western standards, the cost of one Mobile Clinic is relatively small. As of the time of posting, the total cost of one clinic is approximately $5,750. This is a small price to pay for services that most westerners take for granted, but are life transforming for those who do not have access to them. The current estimated cost for the various components of the clinic may be seen in the photo on the left.

Please Consider Helping Today

In addition to the ongoing routine medical needs of the Haitian people, one never knows when another natural disaster will strike. Both earthquakes (any time) and hurricanes (typically June to October) have historically plagued Haiti. Please visit our donation page and consider making a tax-deductible donation to help us meet the ongoing and future disaster relief medical needs of Haiti. Donations may be designated for a particular need.
