École Chrétienne de Jubot

JMI currently is working to establish a Christian school in the community of Jubot, Gressier, Haiti. Our goal is to provide high-quality, faith-based education to children who currently have limited access to reliable schooling. We wish to provide this service as an evangelistic and community building ministry at no charge to students. The school will start with kindergarten and primary classes and gradually expand to include secondary and high school education. Since this branch of the JMI ministry is just starting, then we wish to communicate the needs, vision, current plans, and estimated budget for this outreach. We are seeking partners who are willing to join us to bring hope, opportunity, and the love of Christ to the children of Jubot through the Jubot Christian School.

Background and Need

In Jubot and surrounding areas of Gressier, many children lack access to quality education. Existing schools are often overcrowded, under-resourced, or unaffordable for local families. The absence of Christian-centered education also means that spiritual growth is often neglected.

We believe that education rooted in Christian values not only improves academic outcomes but also raises future leaders grounded in integrity, compassion, and service.

Vision

Our vision for this ministry is to transform positively the future of Haiti by raising Christian disciples through the Gospel and character development in the safe learning environment of a quality primary education program.

Current Launch Plan

While JMI continues to raise funds to build school buildings on the property we purchased for the school, in the mean time, we are launching the school in the current church building of our ministry arm, God's Church of Jubot. We will begin enrolling students July 1st and classes will being October 5th 2026. (The exact start date may vary as determined by the Haitian government's annual announcement for the national education system.)

We will have enough room to enroll 60 students, with 30 in the 1st grade and 30 in the 2nd grade.

Budget

We estimate that the staffing buget and the total ministry costs will be as follows:

Suggested Support Tiers

Although we always appreicate prayer and other forms of support, the above budgets indicate the type of financial support that we need to make this outreach a reality. We recognize both that various donors have different abilities to offer support and also diverse motivations to give, with some having a heart for teachers, others for students, and others to see that basic needs such as meals are met. Consequently, and while any amount is appreciated, we suggest the following support tiers to sponsor either teachers, individual students, or the meal program as donors are lead. (In the future, we will offer brief biographical information regarding and a picture of specific students so that donors may choose whom they wish to support.) You may also designate any amount for any need (donate).
