Economic Empowerment

Ministry Overview
At Jubot Mission International, we believe ministry must address both the spiritual and physical realities people face every day. Under the leadership of Juline Fortune, our pastor's wife, we have developed an Economic Empowerment Program focused on rescuing and restoring vulnerable women trapped in cycles of poverty, abuse, and exploitation.
This ministry specifically serves women who have been sexually abused and women abandoned by their husbands—many of whom are left alone to care for their children with no financial support, no protection, and no opportunities. In desperate attempts to survive and feed their families, many are pushed toward prostitution as their only means of income. Our mission is to break that cycle.
Through discipleship, emotional support, practical training, mentoring, and small business assistance, we help these women rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. We equip them with skills and opportunities to start small businesses so they can provide for their children honorably and regain confidence, stability, and purpose.
This is more than an economic program—it is a ministry of rescue, restoration, and transformation. We are witnessing women rediscover their value, strengthen their faith, and choose a new path for their future and the future of their children.
Yet the need is overwhelming, and this ministry remains severely underfunded. With additional support, we could reach many more women who are crying out for a way out of exploitation and poverty. Every investment into this program helps restore lives, protect families, and bring lasting hope to some of the most vulnerable women in our community.
Below, we share the stories of a few of the women whom we have helped. Each of them has a tragic past, but received counseling, training, and $150 seed money to start a business to turn their life around.

Success Stories
Julienne Jean Baptiste's situation is so sensitive and tragic that we cannot share her story publicly. All we can say is that after dropping out of high school, she was eventually married. After going through our program, she was able to open a small stand to sell vegetables, carrots cabbage and also charcoal (in the plastic bags). She now attends God's Church of Jubot regularly.

Soloudia Jean was abused and got pregnant. Due to the difficult circumstances, she separated from her husband. As a result, she lost custody of her son, who now lives with his father. After going to through our program, Soloudia was able to open a small stand to sell food, baby formula, eggs, olive oil, rice and beans and pasta. She now attends God's Church of Jubot regularly.

Daniese Louis's life is typical for many unbelieving women in Haiti. She got pregnant at an early age and had seven children with four different partners. After going through our program, Daniese was able to open a small stand to sell jewelry, soap, body wash, toothpaste and body lotion. She now attends God's Church of Jubot regularly.

Landy Silain, came from difficult life circumstances. After going to through our program, she used her seed money to receive culinary training. She is shown with cakes she baked. The one she is holding has a picture of our pastor and his wife. She attends our church and participates in the youth program and worship team.
